LaRue Wines produces ultra-premium Pinot Noir and Chardonnay exclusively from the Sonoma Coast. The winery was founded in 2009 by Katy Wilson, and named after her great-grandmother Veona LaRue, a firm believer that if you put your nose to the grindstone, you could accomplish almost anything. Katy has kept the total production under 500 cases. This allows her to lovingly do all cellar work from sorting the fruit to bottling the wine. With her great-grandmother as a role model, Katy worked her way from being a small-town farm girl to becoming an accomplished winemaker. It is her passion for making wines that are complex and vibrant with elegant acidity that drives her intense involvement in every aspect of LaRue Wines.
