As a winemaker, Cindy Cosco never stops evolving. Passaggio is the Italian word for “passageway” and a reflection of her winemaking journey. She finds new adventures with each vintage, exploring traditional and off-the-beaten-path varietals. Cindy relishes the process of sourcing hard-to-find grape varieties along with traditional ones.

While traveling, Sonja toured her family’s property, which included ancient grapevines. She returned to California inspired to make wine in her garage, picking up enology and viticulture coursework at Allan Hancock College in Santa Maria. Sonja is now the winemaker and visionary behind several wine labels, including Casa Dumetz , Clementine Carter, and The Feminist Party. She also operates Babi’s Beer Emporium in Los Alamos.
